Thoughtfully Designed, Ethically Made
With our made-to-order products, your carbon footprint is that much smaller, we aren't filling warehouses stocking product that isn't needed, and there is no overstock to dispose of. We also only use supplies from ethically run manufaturers with fair pay, hours, and conditions.
Eco friendly manufacturing
With the fight for our environment, plastics have become the poster child enemy.
But mass production is just as bad for our planet, with overstock filling our landfills much faster than they ever have before.
That is why 3D printing and made-to-order is such an amazing way for us to produce only what is needed, and no more.
Biodegradable materials
Even more importantly, our products are printed using PLA, which is a biodegradable plastic derived from cornstarch and are non-toxic, free of BPA & phthalates.
Carbon neutral shipping
With every purchase, you help fund a mix of nature-based carbon removal and innovative solutions, such as direct air capture and mineralization.
What is 3D Printing
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, isa method of creating a three dimensional object layer-by-layer using a computer created design. 3D printing is an additive process whereby layers of material are built up to create a 3D part. The PLA comes on spools as afilament. The filament is fed into a heating chamber where it is heated to its melting point and then extruded through a metal nozzle as the extruder assembly moves, tracing a path programmed into a 3D object file to create the printed object.

Meet the Makers
Hi! We're Rob and Ali, a husband and wife duo in Fargo, North Dakota.
We love being a team in every aspect of life (including business), traveling as often as we can, eating pizza, and going to bed early.
The seeds of Printed Foundry were sowed in 2018 when Ali surprised Rob with a 3D printer as an anniversary gift. Always learning new things, Rob had fun teaching himself the craft of 3D printing, and he loved finding ways to create solutions for our own home.
Fast-forward to 2020, Rob and Ali were making face masks and 3D-printed "ear savers" as fast as their hands (and printers) could keep up. The demand was huge, and Rob's little ear savers (that he designed himself) were received so well that it made us realize other people might be looking for the very products we'd created for ourselves. Thus, Printed Foundry was born!
Rob is the brains behind the operation, designing & engineering all the products and tending to the technical needs of the printers. Ali runs the day-to-day operations, completing the prints and getting all the orders packaged & shipped.
